Zachary James Leard, age 31, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. He was born June 6, 1991, in San Antonio Texas, to Denise Leard. He was a 2010 graduate of Thomas C. Clark High School. He worked as a manager for Chick-Fil-A and was passionate about the roles he had and the connections he made. Zachary truly lived life to the fullest and loved being around friends and family. He was the fun uncle, brother, son, and friend to many. Even if you weren't technically related, with Zac, it was easy to feel as though you were part of his family.  He was a prominent member of the LGBTQIA+ community and worked at The Pegasus as a result of his love for the community. He will be deeply missed and remembered as someone you could always depend on to help with anything you needed, even the shirt off his back.

He is preceded in death by his father, Martin Ronald Gomez; brother, Adam C. Leard; cousins, Roland Lozano II, and John W. Garcia; uncle, Roland Lozano Sr.; grandfathers, Joseph Glenn Leard, and Oscar Gomez.

He is survived by his loving mother, Denise A. Leard; grandmother, Sherry Leard; brothers, Jason R. Leard, Ronald Martin Gomez and wife Rosalinda Gomez, William Gutierrez and wife Alicia Gutierrez; sisters, Samantha R. Leard and husband Robert J. McConkey, Joslin G. Leard and husband Ryan Barrientos; extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM with a 12:00 PM prayer service at Hillcrest Funeral Home.
